FCC Building Use and Rental

Thank you for your interest in using the facilities of First Congregational Church! It is our tradition to perform memorial services, baptisms and weddings for members and non-members. All are welcome! And our facilities are also available to rent for other community events! Please contact the church office at 207-236-4821 to make arrangements.

Baptisms

Baptisms are performed during the Sunday worship service. There is no charge.

Weddings

The First Congregational Church of Camden is a beautiful and historic building, and we have a proud tradition of welcoming couples who wish to be married in our church, whether or not they are members.

For weddings for non-members a $500 damage deposit check is due at rehearsal time, to be returned after the wedding ceremony.

General Information

Use

The use of the building is at the discretion of the Board of Trustees, who will determine the suitability of any proposed use. Inquiries may be made through the Church Office and reservations will be approved whenever there is no conflict with church activities. In the event of unexpected church functions, notably funerals, we reserve the right to cancel any conflicting reservation. For some events an insurance certificate is required.

Custodian Services

Custodian services are arranged for in advance through the Church Office. A separate fee is paid to the custodian for work after hours or on weekends. Users will be held responsible for any damage to premises and contents.

Security
For events outside office hours, arrangements to gain access to the facility should be made in advance with the Church Office. On leaving, all lights must be turned off, windows closed, and the door(s) locked.
Parking
The church provides parking space for 80 cars.
