Here is your worship bulletin, weekly newsletter and calendar for the week of May 17, 2026.
Join us for Sunday Worship at 9:30 am on May 17, 2026, the 7th Sunday of Easter. Rev. David J. Wood, Interim Senior Minister, will lead the service.
A Note from David J. Wood
Dear Friends,
We have a lot going on at FCC this weekend and this week. All worthy of your time and participation:
- Saturday, May 16: FCC will be hosting “The Camden Poetry Festival.” Events begin at 10:00 a.m. and will conclude at 5:00 p.m. Here is a link to the events on Saturday. Events are free and open to the public.
- Sunday, May 17 is Ascension Sunday: Join us for worship as we celebrate the Ascension of Jesus…an event that often passes us by unnoticed. Why is it an important part of the Church’s liturgical calendar? Our Worship Service will seek to answer that question.
- Also THIS Sunday Morning: During Coffee Hour, a special slide presentation by Scout Troop 200. In recognition of FCC’s long history of hosting Troop 200, the Scouts will make a presentation of highlights from their activities over the past few years.
- Thursday, May 21 @ 7:00 p.m.: A Showing of the documentary film, “Dietrich Bonhoeffer: Memories and Perspectives.” This is an excellent documentary on the life and legacy of Bonhoeffer. If you have some knowledge of Bonhoeffer or none at all, this will be a great introduction. All the people interviewed in the film were either relatives of friends of Bonhoeffer. We will gather in the Pilgrim Room for this viewing.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Peace,
David
