Church School for Kindergarten-6th grade youths.
Sunday morning is an exciting time for our Kindergarten through sixth grade children. They can participate in the service through our music or acolyte program. After participating in the first part of the service in the sanctuary, children move to our classrooms. Here they learn more about the foundations of our faith through discussion, bible research/reading and hands on activities.
In different seasons of the year, children, youth and families are also invited to participate in activities such as the Christmas Pageant or special Lenten programs. Please see our calendar for up to date listings of church events.
If your child would like to visit a class, enroll or if you would like more information or to volunteer to teach a class, please contact Cate Lamb, Director of Youth and Family Ministries at 236-4821 x11 or e-mail her at firebug_glass@yahoo.com.
Junior High Fellowship
Seventh through Ninth Grade Youth
In seventh and eighth grade our youth begin to focus on serving God through helping people in their community. The program alternates between meetings exploring their faith and working on community service projects. Our youth group is self-directed with the guidance of adults. Currently our youth visit shut-ins and the elderly in nursing homes.
Our Junior High students are invited to write and submit artwork to the Youth Beacon, a monthly newsletter mailed directly to our youth, which features activities, writing, artwork and upcoming events for youth.
Confirmation classes are also offered to our seventh, eighth and ninth graders. Designed to reaffirm and broaden the scope of each participant's perspective of faith these classes are led by Kevin Pleas.
Adult programs
Classes for adults range from Bible studies to hot-topic seminars, guest speakers on relevant current events that affect our church. Watch the BEACON and the Sunday Bulletins for announcements of upcoming classes.
